Ectomorph Mesomorph Endomorph

Ectomorph Mesomorph Endomorph, which body type you possess? Don’t worry, we have explained each body type in detail which will surely help you to recognize the body structure of yours.

In an age where people are increasingly becoming more body-conscious and self-conscious, it has become increasingly vital to identify and understand one’s body type. Mesomorph body type, Ectomorph body type, and Endomorph body type are three broad classifications of a body. Though having just one of these three kinds of bodies is a rarity and most of the people most definitely have a combination of at least two out of these three types. But on a broader level, one can most likely identify oneself with ectomorph, mesomorph or endomorph types of body.

Before going ahead with a diet plan or training, it’s always better to figure out the body type. Once we know it, we can chalk out the best workout and supplements meant for us.

Ectomorph Mesomorph Endomorph Body Types Explained

Ectomorph Body Type

An ectomorph is characterized by thinness; a person having this type of body finds it hard to put on weight as body fat or muscle. They would remain thin, even if they eat as much food as they possibly could. They would exhibit a lean build; have long limbs and small muscle bellies. Still, if they somehow get to gain some weight, they will still look slimmer than they actually are, especially in the calves and forearms.

Having this sort of body structure doesn’t mean you are feeble. They too can have the strength and can be as fit as anybody else, but won’t be able to put on weight that easily.

They can go for many lighter meals, in place of a few big meals. It’s even fine if they go and have junk food once in a while. Having a carbohydrate-rich diet and high-density foodstuff suits this kind of ectomorph body type.

Mesomorph Body Type

The mesomorphs are between the other two body types. They have a good athletic built with a well-defined muscle mass, thin joints, broad shoulders, and a narrow waist. It is relatively easier for them to lose or gain weight. They also have a better platform for muscle building.

The advantage of being in this category is that they can naturally stay fit and muscular but gain fat more easily than ectomorphs but must be careful with regards to the intake of calories. Having a well-structured body doesn’t necessarily imply ‘better health’. However, they would get back to their original shape with ease, in case they get out of shape.

Carbohydrate intake can be kept at 40%-60%, sliced into 5-6 meals in the day, accompanied with a rich calorie diet.

Endomorph Body Type

Endomorphs don’t have muscles which can be easily defined, they also have a soft and round body due to their tendency to gain muscle and put on fat easily, owing to a slow rate of metabolism. They are bulky, usually short with a thick ribcage, wider hips, shorter limbs, and a round physique.

In spite of it, an endomorph can be healthy, strong and capable.

They must have at least 30%-40% carbohydrates in their food and loads of water together with portioning their food properly.

Intermediate Body Types

Bodies are mostly in between these regular body types. A person may fit into just one body type over the other two, but may still possess minor or major traces of the qualities of other body types.

Fitting in exactly into just one of these three body types rarely happens. There cannot be a hard and fast rule defining the diet plan, nutritional requirements and bodily requirements for an individual as bodies have uniqueness.

Nonetheless, knowing the body type (ectomorph mesomorph endomorph) makes it easier to set goals, regulate diet and fix limitations for a finer body and a healthy life.
